Tana Toraja has a blended culture and natural beauty with fascinating ritual attractions. Traditional graves carved in the line stone cliffs has an exotic beauty which is surrounded by virgin rain forests

MA'NENE
This religious is held to change the cover of the corpse signifying the respect to the ancestor. Only one buffalo is sacrificed for this ceremony and the whole procession is a communal activity in front of the graves. The shrouded corpse is then laid down

and chained for one night; and the traditional attractions Ma'badong and Ma'dondi are performed. The following day the corpse is returned to its resting place, followed by other corpses. Such  ceremony is usually held three times for each corpse to ensure that the soul is in  peace in paradise

This traditional wooden house with bamboo roof has a distinctive traditional architecture carved in in traditional style and painted with a colorful blend of soil and trees extract. The number of buffalo horns posted on the front center pock represents the wealth of the family

FUNERA CEREMONY
There are two kinds of ceremony in Toraja land, namely mourning ceremony and thanksgiving ceremony. The former includes the funeral ceremony is called Rambu Solo'. It must be held in the afternoon and sacrificing is held

in the western side of the house.The most attractive event for tourist is Funeral Ceremony. This traditional ceremony is held to ensure that the soul of the diseased is accepted by God. Mostly held after harvesting times, especially in June through October

Sa'dang River as mentioned before is the largest river in South Sulawesi. It seems to be interesting experience for someone to have a trip with a local boat along this river after having a long exhausting drive.
